Farm Maintenance: Assisting with the construction and repair of farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Operating and maintaining farm tools and equipment. Cleaning and organizing farm facilities and work areas. Assisting with the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems, pumps, and other farm infrastructure. Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining various farm machinery and equipment. Ensuring proper and safe use of equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines. Performing routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment. Transporting crops, livestock, or equipment within the farm premises. Harvesting and Packaging: Participating in the harvest of crops and sorting them according to quality standards. Packaging and preparing crops for storage or shipment. Following proper storage procedures to maintain the quality and freshness of harvested produce. Loading and unloading agricultural products onto trucks or other transportation vehicles. Health and Safety: Following all health and safety protocols and regulations on the farm. Using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Reporting any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor. Participating in farm safety training programs as necessary.
Job Requirement: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Previous experience in farming or agriculture is an asset. Basic knowledge of farming practices, crop cultivation, or livestock care. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions. Familiarity with farm machinery and equipment operation is beneficial. Good communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to agriculture.
